    EYBA Summer Conference and AGM

    Porto - Portugal

  • EYBA Summer Conference and AGM

    Dear Colleagues,

I am looking forward to welcoming you to Portugal for yet another EYBA Summer Conference & AGM on behalf of the Organising Committee and the European Young Bar Association (EYBA).

Although the EYBA has been no stranger to Portugal over the years (with conferences hosted in Lisbon), this will be our first conference ever in Porto - Portugal's second largest city.

Renowned for its fortified wine of the same name, and (one for the Harry Potter fans) inspiring J.K. Rowling in the creation of Harry Potter, Porto - an ancient and modern city - has something for everyone.

I am grateful to the Organising Committee (OC) for their commitment and hard-work in putting this conference together and even more so for their enthusiasm over the past few months. The OC is comprised of young independent lawyers, lawyers in private practice, and law students.

Our aim is, as usual, not only to provide you with technical seminars that will enable you to expand your legal knowledge but also to provide you with much needed soft skills, such as negotiating skills and tips from leading international practitioners on carving your path to partnership.

I look forward to seeing you in Porto and I hope you will enjoy your time there.

    Daniela Valdez

    President, EYBA
